Finally! The unofficial start of summer - time for that first picnic on the beach, planting lots of bedding plants and putting up your hanging baskets. Start your long weekend off right with a trip to the Blind Bay Farmers Market this Thursday May 19.

You can pick up your wholesome bread from Brigittes Bread Basket, get your delicious meat rub from Red Truck Foods, a funky tie dyed scarf from Fabric Art Rocks, a bird house from Denis and Matilda, a photo frame card from Diane and Sherron, free range eggs from Good Stewart Seeds, yummy brownies from Irene's Sweet Treats, ready to hang flower baskets from  Deb Gibson, summery jewelry from Henny Penny Designs, a beautiful painting from Marg Dandeneau, a funky candle holder for your deck from Gunter. Make sure to fill out the local food questionnaire at Barking Mad's booth.

New vendors expected this week - dog treats and collars; campfire weiner sticks and log pokers, first garden produce.
